“One of the things I like best about my work is sharing stories about nature that can help connect people to the environment. The YoungEco have a real talent for connecting with people, from community members to policy makers, and I am continually impressed by their motivation, dedication, and capabilities. Working with them has been instrumental in coordinating workshops, trainings, and outreach events in Cambodia. I am so inspired by the creative work they are doing to engage youth around environmental topics. They are a source of positive change that makes me hopeful for the future of conservation in Cambodia.”

Erin Loury is a fisheries biologist and science writer based in California who has worked on fisheries and conservation issues in Southeast Asia for more than 10 years. This has included supporting communication and capacity-building activities in Cambodia through the Wonders of the Mekong project funded by USAID.
