Jack Eschenroeder

Fisheries Biologist | FISHBIO

“The connections they built with the communities of people who live in the ecosystems we were studying helped us to gain valuable data, and on a personal level helped him to learn amazing new things about the local environment. Collaborating with YoungEco has been an enriching experience and I look forward to continuing to work with them into the future.”

Jack Eschenroeder is a fisheries biologist with experience in a variety of freshwater systems, and he has coordinated conservation projects focused on monitoring and research related to aquatic biodiversity. He chose to study fisheries because he is fascinated by the natural world, and passionate about learning how to best protect its diversity and preserve its vital functions. But it wasn’t until he began working in the Cambodian Mekong and partnered with YEA that he truly began to understand the human side of conservation.
